For travellers who dream of exploring beyond planet Earth, visit Saturn’s largest moon: Titan, which is full of bizarre wonders. Don’t worry about feeling too homesick because this moon is one of the most earth-like worlds known to date.

Titan Saturn View.jpg1. Discover Earth’s roots… on Titan?
Ever dreamed of witnessing the dawn of Earth, billions of years before the planet was teeming with life? Titan’s icy landscape reflects the appearance of our planet before oxygen entered our atmosphere. Touring Titan is almost as if you time travelled backwards to see Earth in its former barren, icy state.

2. Orange Haze

Tired of blue skies? Titan’s atmosphere is cast with a rich orange haze of hydrocarbons due to the breakdown of methane due to the sunlight and reaction with nitrogen.

3. Magic Island

Located in the south pole of the moon, is a concentration of liquid Ethane and Methane lakes, rivers and deltas, called Magic Island.

4. Methane Cycle

Titan is the only other world beyond earth that has stable surface liquid and cycle like earth’s water cycle; however, methane replaces water on Titan. Depending on the time of year, you could experience rain, and storm clouds of methane!

5. “Sand” Dunes

Dark hydrocarbon sand dunes carpet plenty of Titan’s surface, resembling the Namibian Desert in Africa on Earth. However, the sand, is actually carbon-rich compounds that fall to the surface and appear as grains of “sand”.

6. Cloud-watching on the moon

Go cloud watching on the only moon in our solar system with clouds!

7. Water Volcanism

Due to the icy temperatures of Titan, liquid water on Titan acts like the rocks and lava on earth! This means that liquid water acts as lava during volcanic activity, while the surface would consist of rocks of ice.

8. Mountains on the moon

Although there are mountains on earth, venturing up mountains on Saturn’s largest moon makes the experience feel much more surreal. If you’re afraid of heights, no need to worry because Titan’s uplands aren’t as high as earths.

9. Our Solar System’s greatest view of Saturn.
Observe Saturn and its rings from the surface of Titan. You’ll always have a view of Saturn, which fills one third to one half of Titan’s sky.

10. Flying on the moon

Titan’s low gravity, which is 14% of Earths, and dense atmosphere means that you could jump down from a surface and glide down. Check out the Titan clothing line for attachable wings, and learn to fly!
